Wat Suwannawadh, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province
The ancient monument Wat Suwannawadh is no record of the date of its construction studies on the evidence from the archaeological excavation and the remains such as buildings and objects, recommend that this temple date back to the middle of Ayutthaya period or about the sixteenth century. The renovations were done in the past at least 3 times. Firstly in the late Ayutthaya period, secondly in the Rattanakosin.
Wat Suwannawadh is located on the city island. It can be found in the corner Chikun Road and U-Thong Road, just before the Khlong Muang Bridge. This renovated temple ruin can also be seen directly opposite Wat Rachapraditstan.
