Near the city wall in the southeast on the eastern side of Phra Ruang
road, this temple might be the Wat Lankaram mentioned in the stone inscription
found at Wat Asokaram. The temple consists of the main chedi which probably
had a circular bell shape (judging from the remaining base of vast size) a vihara, an
ordination hall and subordinate chedis. Remarkably, the position of the ordination
hall to the west of the main chedi is in accordance with the layout of a temple in
the Ayutthaya period.
